Child Awareness

It is the policy of the Scout Association to safeguard the welfare of all members by protecting them from physical, sexual and emotional harm.

Responsibilities within the Child Protection Policy

It is the responsibility of all adults in Scouting to ensure that:

The Module 01: Essential Information video, DVD and CD-ROM cover this in more detail; contact your Local Training Manager to borrow a copy.

You should also have a copy of the "Yellow Card" - a pocket-sized code of good practice for adults in Scouting regarding child protection procedures.
These are available free from the Scout Information Centre.

If you need more information on Child Protection, please contact the e-trainer who can pass your message on to the GLMW Child Protection
Officer, David Williams.
