Scout Fellowship

Scout Fellowship is essentially a group of adults who have one thing in common - a wish to continue to support Scouting.
The Fellowship is a large part of the "backbone" of the Scout Movement - supporting the young people and leaders
whenever help is required.  The key to the Fellowship's success is its flexibility.

In Greater London Middlesex West, Fellowships are co-ordinated by Yvonne Sharp.

So, what do you do?

The aim of the Scout Fellowship is "Providing Active Support" - with the emphasis on supporting the youth programme
in an active manner, at all levels.

Through Active Support the talents of the Fellowship are used, whether it is physical, mental or geared to a specific skill
- or even just general support.  It could be a badge examiner, a mentor for a new leader, catering for a course, running
canoeing or pioneering courses - the list is endless!

But don't think it's just about being a support team; Fellowship groups often have their own social and activity programme.

What restrictions are there for joining?

None!  The Fellowships welcome men and women of all ages, backgrounds and interests.  You don't even need to have
been a Scout or Guide before - just be willing to give some of your time to Scouting.

How do I find out more?

For more information on how you can be part of a Fellowship in your area – or even for more information on how you could
start one – please contact the
e-trainer so your details can be passed onto the ACC Fellowship, Yvonne Sharp.
