Adding images is vital to keep the content on the site looking interesting and engaging, as such we have made the process as easy as possible, all it takes is 2 steps.

Step 1: Upload the image

Find the section called "File attachments" in any content type, click the "Browse" button, this will allow you to search your computer for an image. Select the image you wish to upload and click "Open", then once the window has closed click the "Attach" button.

The page will now refresh and you should have a table inside the "File attachments" section that lists the image you have just added, enter a better description if you want to, by default it takes the name of the file.

The first step is the exact same as outlined in the Attaching a file help page, please see there for additional information.

Step 2: Insert and align the image

The next step is to insert the image into the body of content. Go to the "Body" section of the form, click the cursor where you want the image to be, then click the "Insert/edit image" button, , this will bring up a pop-up window.

The pop-up window gives an "Image URL" field which you will be put the URL/link to the image which you just uploaded. You can find that just below the "Description" textbox in the "File attachments" section.

Why can't I add more than 1 image?

You can, but you will have to repeat the process each time, this is a technical problem and something we are looking to resolve.

Where do I find images that fit with the Branding Guidelines?

We would encourage you to take photos of the events, camps, trips or training days that you are organising and use them!

Alternatively, the Scout Association have set up a media library, which unfortunately is limited to those with usernames, however there is a number which you can ring to gain access to it if you require images.
