COUNTY EVENTS

Cub Scouts in Greater London Middlesex West have lots of fun all year round.  The fun takes place in Cub Packs in an area that stretches from Westminster along the river to Isleworth and then past Heathrow Airport and up to Edgware.

Cub Scouts love to take part in adventure, challenges and activities like

r            Conservation Projects

r            Cooking

r            Assault Courses

r            Collecting

r            Swimming

r            Making Music

r            Crafts

r            Sports

r            Science

r            Water activities

r            And going on day trips.

Cub Scouts especially like camping.  In the winter months they like to camp at pack holiday centres and in the summer they camp outdoors in tents.

If you are aged 8 to 10 1/2 years old and like to have fun, email the link below to find our where you can find the nearest cub pack to your home.

Activities and Challenges
Each week boys and girls come along to Cub Scouts to take part in activities, spend weekends camping and go on outings. Everything the Cub Scout does and takes part in goes towards their Challenge Badges.  They are

Text Box: Outdoor Challenge
Creative Challenge
Global Challenge
Fitness Challenge
Caring Challenge

Text Box: As well as challenge badges there are 36 Activity Badges to work towards.  These can be done at Cubs or at home.

At the Beginning of Each Meeting
The opening of the Cub Scout Meeting starts with Grand Howl. This is where an older and Experienced Cub Scout will break the Flag which is folded at the top of the Flag Pole.
The ceremony is repeated at the end of the meeting where the flag is hauled down the flag pole.

Once you have attended Cub Scouts for a few weeks and you have purchased the Cub Scout Sweatshirt you can then be invested. This is where you will make your promise receive a scarf and badges to sew onto your uniform.
