Modules 16 (Introduction to Residential Experiences), 18 (Practical Skills) and 19 (International)

Date: 19th October 2024 All Day Event Location: PACCAR Scout Camp Site (Chalfont St.Peter)

Module 16 (Introduction to Residential Experiences) aims to enable section leaders and those who may support residential experiences for young people, as part of their role in Scouting, to understand the role that residential experiences play in Scouting. Completion of this module is part of the adult training scheme and does not automatically give you a Nights Away Permit. If you are interested in gained a Nights Away Permit you should discuss this with your Training Adviser.

Module 18 (Practical Skills) aims to enable adults to gain and develop practical skills for the benefit of the young people in their Section. The module covers how to train, coach or otherwise help young people and adults develop practical skills. It requires participants to gain at least two new practical skills of their own.

Module 19 (International) aims to provide participants with a global focus appropriate to their section and an appreciation of the international nature of Scouting. The module covers International scouting, the global programme and International opportunities for young people and adults.

Before completing this course you should have completed all of the Getting Started, module 12A and module 5 eLearning modules.
