Join us for a week of bobble themed fun for Badger’s Bobble Hat Week!
22nd – 28th February 2021
During the week daily activities will be published on our Facebook page and for the finale we’ll be holding Badger’s Bobble Hat Walk where we will be encouraging all members and their families to put on their bobble hats, get outside and walk a mile to celebrate the life of Badger.
Brunell Sweeney was a much-loved leader in Ruislip. Known by many as ‘Badger’ he was Beaver ADC for REN District for many years. His big friendly smile would light up any room. He was kind and helpful; always enthusiastic and full of energy and ideas; he motivated us all, and was a great ambassador for Scouting.
One of his favourite District events was running his bobble hat walks for Beavers, and 1st March 2020 was no exception. Sadly, it was his last bobble hat walk as he passed away in October.
Please join friends in GLMW celebrating his life in bobble hat week, ending with a virtual bobble hat walk on 28th February.
Instead of badges, for this event we have organised special edition Badger’s Bobble Hats. If you would like to order any, they are available in both adult and child sizes and are priced at £5 each. To ensure that your hat arrives before Badger’s Bobble Hat Walk on 28th February, please place your order by Monday 15th February.
