Haarlem Jamborette 2027

We are delighted to share details of our adult leadership team for the GLMW contingent to attend the 2027 Haarlem Jamborette.

  • Contingent Leader: Cathy Muxlow
  • Unit A: Michael Edwards (Unit Lead), David Hurley (Deputy Unit Lead), Jocelyn Brennan, Isaac Porter
  • Unit B: Ruth Ferrier (Unit Lead), Leigh Porter (Deputy Unit Lead), James Courten, Clare Muxlow, James Duffy

The Jamborette is held in Recreatiegebied Spaarnwoude (Spaarnwoude Recreational Area), a nature reserve located between Amsterdam, Haarlem and Velsen. This reserve has many hiking routes, a mountain bike track, swimming lakes and even a ski slope and a climbing wall. In addition, big events are held in the reserve every year, and in 2027 the Jamborette will be one of them.  The Jamborette is 12 days full of Scouting activities, meeting new friends from different countries and fun festivities in between to remember forever.

Applications will open shortly for Young People who wish to be members of the 2 contingents attending the Haarlem Jamborette in 2027.  Please follow this link /jamboree-2027-yp-application-process for full details.

2023 County Expedition to the Jamborette

In the summer of 2023,  36 Scouts and Explorers (plus a team of leaders) from GLMW travelled to The Netherlands to join over 4,000 Scouts from more than 15 different countries at the Haarlem Jamborette.  Here are a few highlights in pictures.
