Overview to remote training

There are a number of ways to engage with parts of the adult training scheme remotely.

For each training module which is offered as e-learning, at the end of the training you will be able to generate a certificate which should be returned to your Local Training Manager who can update your record on compass. For those modules completed as workbooks you should discuss your completed workbook with your Training Adviser who can then update compass.

Our validation page contains links to additional materials and the validation criteria for each module. All evidence required for validation can be compiled remotely before a discussion with your Training Adviser.

Support and guidance for Zoom

The Scouts has secured free access to Zoom for every Scout Group, to assist with remote section meetings and volunteering. In the training calendar we have scheduled support sessions to assist volunteers with using Zoom. We also have support documents available for Leaders and for Parents.

Safeguarding ongoing learning is available as e-learning.  A workbook option is also available. Previously there has been a requirement to alternate between e-learning and face-to-face training for safeguarding – as of March 2020 this requirement has been removed.
