Jamboree 2027 – Applications for Participants now open

Date: 5th Sep 2025 Author: Gillan Barnard

Attendance at an International Jamboree is one of the highlights of many people’s Scouting experience –  taking part in a large camp with Scouts from all over the world is an amazing adventure. For many it can be life-changing in terms of widening horizons, overcoming challenges and meeting a diverse range of people.

Therefore we are delighted to offer our Scouts and Explorers the opportunity to join one of our international jamboree units in the summer of 2027.  We are planning to send Units to 3 different Jamboree events.  They will all be held in the school summer holidays in 2027 (end July/August) and are open to Scout members born between 30 July 2009 and 30 July 2013 (age 14-17 at the time of the Jamboree Camp). They are:

  1. The World Scout Jamboree in Gdansk, Poland.
  2. The Haarlem Jamborette in the Netherlands.
  3. A UK-based International Jamboree style camp

Applications are now open and there are a series of information sessions taking place across the GLMW County to provide parents and young people with all the details.
