Fundraising

International trips are likely to cost more than similar domestic trips and so fundraising may be an important part of your preparation.

In addition to traditional fundraising activities such as bag packing and participating in sponsored events, you may find the following helpful :

The Lord Mayor’s 800th Anniversary Awards Trust supports international trips and Jamborees : https://lordmayor800anniversary.wordpress.com .

The Leslie Sell Charitable Trust also supports trips made by Scout Groups :

The Hummingbird Bakery donates surplus cupcakes to charity events.  Cakes can be picked up just before the selected store closes for the day.  You will need to contact their Press Office to register and book a collection with them : https://hummingbirdbakery.com/pages/contact-us

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
