Practical Scouting Skills for Leaders

The weekend is a great learning opportunity for leaders in GLMW County who are fairly new to Scouting or just want to brush up on their skills.  Experienced instructors from around the County will provide you with the opportunity to learn a number of core skills that are often required in Scouting activities. These will include fire lighting, map reading, pioneering and running camp fires amongst other skills.   Most sessions will be practical where you will practice the relevant skills in small groups with some instruction and coaching.

The weekend is also an excellent opportunity to meet other new leaders from across our County.

The Practical Scouting Skills for Leaders weekend will be held at Paccar Scout Camp Saturday 28th March – Sunday 29th March 2026 including overnight camping. The fees are £20 per person for the weekend including meals. This payment is non-refundable.
