Hillwalking 14-16th September – Wasdale Head Campsite – Lake District

Date: 20th Aug 2018 Author: Scout Websites
The next county hillwalking trip will be in the Lake District

This is a camping trip and we will be camping at the Wasdale Head Inn campsite.

This is a fantastic location with the highest mountain in England, Skafell Pike, on our doorstep. The site is also surrounded by some of the UK’s finest scenery, Great Gable, Yewbarrow, Pillar and Steeple all immediately accessible from the campsite. This is a fairly remote location so allowance for 5-6 hours travel time is recommended if travelling by car. We encourage car sharing and this will be organised nearer the time.

As we are camping participants will need to provide their own tent and camping equipment. Food for lunches will be provided on both days, however participants will need to provide their own food for travel on the Friday and Sunday evening. Participants will need to bring their own food for breakfast however breakfast is available at the campsite. We are proposing eating out on the Saturday evening.

The cost for the trip will be £25 and includes camp fees and food for lunch. If you are interested in attending please email us.

To book a place please visit our website. We look forward to seeing you there.

We will also be at PACCAR’s ReBoot weekend so why don’t you drop in and pay us a visit.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
