Module 10A (First Aid Learning) and Module 10B (First Aid Practical)

Date: 13th October 2024 Between: 9:15 am - 5:00 pm Location: Greenford DHQ

This one day course covers the mandatory ongoing learning requirement for first aid, modules 10A and 10B. This course is for adult volunteers only, other opportunities for Explorer Scouts who are young leaders to complete module K of the young leaders training scheme are available within the Districts.

Module 10A (First Aid Learning) aims to cover the knowledge necessary to enable members of The Scouts to provide basic first aid and ensure safe management of a first aid incident. By the end of the module participants will have had the opportunity to be:

  • provided with simple first aid information which is relevant to their role,
  • helped to build confidence and skills in coping with emergency and first aid situations,
  • equipped with the knowledge needed to manage these emergencies.

Module 10B (First Aid Practical) covers the core practical skills required to complete your mandatory ongoing training for first aid.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
