Modules 12B (Programme Planning), 14 (Supporting Young People) and 15 (Promoting Positive Behaviour)
This one day course combines three modules. You’ll spend the day working with other adults to understand how we can deliver the programme.
Module 12B (Programme Planning) provides section leaders with an opportunity to plan and review a sectional programme including the use of a variety of methods to generate programme ideas. The module will cover how to create an exciting and relevant programme, how to generate programme ideas and how to review a programme to enhance it.
Module 14 (Supporting Young People) aims to enable adult volunteers working with young people to understand and meet their needs. The module covers the characteristics and development of young people, external influences on young people, how to create a supportive environment for young people and how to respond to issues affecting young people.
Module 15 (Promoting Positive Behaviour) aims to enable adult volunteers to proactively promote positive behaviour and appropriately manage challenging behaviour in their section. The module covers defining challenging behaviour, planning for positive behaviour, responding to challenging behaviour and where to source additional help and support for challenging behaviour.
