Team Leader – Terry Kingham

Site Operations Team (work rota agreed with department leader)
  • Support the arrival & departure process for all scout groups
  • Unload lorries upon their arrival & store equipment appropriately/reload lorries in preparation for their return journey
  • Supply gas/benches/tables to groups upon arrival and when supplies run out
  • Support the site with general maintenance & support for toilet blocks and general cleanliness

Team members would arrive at least one day prior to the group’s arrivals and depart one day after to facilitate camp arrivals/departures.

Help Desk Support Team (work one day, rest two days on rota system)
  • Visit all scout campsite to support welfare/health/safety and report/administer and challenges/issues arising
  • Take call/texts to support parties going out on adventurous/local/site activities and pass information on to the appropriate department leads.
  • Support visitors to the head office and be the welcoming face of the leadership team.
  • Be able to assist/support mini crisis and escalate challenges to next level of leadership
  • Be pro-active in passing on relevant and useful operational information across the site to all leaders/organisational team
Staff Catering Team (work one day, rest two days on rota system)
  • Prepare, cook and serve daily dinners and arrange clear up and wash/dry of all catering equipment in preparation for next team
  • Prepare dining area for evening meal.
  • Prepare and serve daily breakfast and put out ingredients for packed lunch / lunchtime diners
  • Collect food for daily use
  • Maintain high levels and standards of hygiene within kitchen/dining area
  • Ensure tea/coffee refreshments hydration station is constantly topped up and kept tidy.
